Services
Interior
Air conditioner checked for proper setting and operation.
Doors and windows checked to assure they are secure (no signs of forced entry damage and/or vandalism).
Check for signs of obvious water leaks (i.e., hot water heater, faucets, toilets, washing machine).
Unless otherwise requested, all faucets turned on and water run through sinks, tub/showers.
Toilets flushed to prevent dried gaskets and traps.
If requested by client, washing machine run on rinse cycle, once per month.
If requested by client, dishwasher run, once per month.
All smoke detectors checked for proper operation.
Refrigerator checked for proper operation (or mildew accumulation, if turned off).
All rooms inspected for evidence of roof leaks, including door and window frames.
Electrical service panel inspected for tripped breakers caused by power surges (reset, if necessary).
Visually check for pests/insects/rodents.
Check all lights.
Exterior
Check for lawn damage.
Visually check that lighting (i.e., porch, garage, motion detector) is operational.
Check for any problems with vents.
Check for drainage problems.
Check for signs of obvious water leaks.
Remove all unwanted fliers/newspapers.
If requested by client, place mail in home/condo.
Check pool/spa for water level and discoloration; assure pool pump is running.
Check pool cage/screens for damage.
Check for storm damage.
Check for forced entry (i.e., broken windows and/or damaged doors).
Check that all doors, including garage, are locked.
Visually check appearance of equipment, such as air conditioning and roof condition.
Home Watch is defined as a visual inspection of a home or property looking for obvious issues.
